Pierre Cornu is Director of Research in the History of the Present at INRAE and Director of the UMR Territoires in Clermont-Ferrand, a multi-disciplinary research unit that focuses on transitions (in agriculture, food, mobility, etc.) through territorial issues.

As a specialist in the intersection of science, agriculture, the environment and public policy in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, Pierre Cornu’s research is both interdisciplinary and collaborative, with the aim of shedding light on the singular status of temporality in the Anthropocene.
