Landscape(s) in the anthropocene: renewed potential for progressing the un sustainable development goals?
The aim of this international online symposium is to revisit the notion of ‘LANDSCAPE’ and investigate how it might be applicable, relevant and significant to engage and interact with our LANDSCAPES in times of the ANTHROPOCENE.
Part 1 of this event will showcase concrete LANDSCAPE examples – ‘Stories from the Ground’ – organised around three broad themes: KNOWLEDGE, FOOD AND SUSTAINABILITY. Part 2 of the event will address ‘Landscape Governance’, asking what modes of governance might be proposed to harness the notion of landscape in the Anthropocene, with a view to promote sustainability as per the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Part 1 will be an open webinar (registration required – see details below), whereas part 2 will be a virtual roundtable (by invitation only).
