Camila Perruso is an Associate Professor at Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 (ART-Dev) and an affiliated researcher at the Institute of Legal and Philosophical Studies of the Sorbonne (CNRS/Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne).
She holds a PhD entitled “The Right to a Healthy Environment in International Law” from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, in joint supervision with the University of São Paulo (2019).
She was a resident researcher at the Institute for Advanced Study in Nantes (IEA de Nantes) (2020–2021) on a project entitled “Crossing systems, crossing knowledge – Indigenous peoples and environmental protection,” and a member of the Centre for Studies and Research of The Hague Academy of International Law in 2022.
Her research focuses on the interaction between human rights, the environment, and climate change. She also works on the participation of Indigenous peoples in the development of environmental norms.
