WHERE IS THE THEORETICAL MODELING OF GAS-PHASE REACTIONS HEADED: APPLICATIONS TO ATMOSPHERIC CHEMISTRY AND CLIMATE CHANGE?

This workshop has two objectives:

(i) Serve as a meeting place to generate new ideas and advance theoretical and computational methods for solving complex quantum dynamics problems related to gas-phase reactions relevant to environmental physics and chemistry (quantum mechanical modeling of reactive dynamics, energy- and time-resolved molecular spectroscopy, non-adiabatic dynamics, etc.)

(ii) Bring together experts from various fields to address the question of how the physical chemistry community can effectively contribute new insights and solutions to the atmospheric chemistry community in the context of climate change.

The ultimate goal of this workshop is to discuss how the physical chemistry community can effectively contribute to advancing knowledge and developing solutions related to the theoretical modeling of gas-phase reactions applicable to atmospheric chemistry in the context of climate change.
