Participation in the meeting of the network of european institutes of advanced studies (netias)
MAK’IT was invited to participate as an observer in the meeting of the Network of European Institutes of Advanced Studies (NetIAS) held on 11 and 12 November in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This latter, hosted by the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Edinburgh, was preceded by a meeting of the selection committee for the Constructive Advanced Thinking (CAT) call for applications. This programme, in which MAK’IT participates with 8 other Institutes of Advanced Studies (IAS) is dedicated to young international researchers involved in innovative research projects aiming at understanding and addressing emergent societal challenges.
NetIAS, which gathers now 24 members, was created in 2004 to stimulate exchanges on IAS practices and possible forms of cooperation. More than 500 researchers are hosted every year for up to one full academic year within the whole network.
