Molecular basis of hematological malignancies: a focus on leukemia and lymphoma

Wednesday 6 July 2022 (9:00-17:30)

The objective of this symposium is to bring together renowned scientists working on leukemia and hematopoietic/leukemic stem cells. In particular, it will discuss the latest discoveries and strategies in leukemia research, diagnosis and treatments. In addition, this symposium aims to build networks and collaborations among international scientists, especially French and Lebanese researchers. The event will allow researchers to exchange ideas relevant to the MUSE/MAK’IT ‘Protect’ and ‘Care’ challenges, related to the health of cancer leukemia patients.

The topics will range from understanding the influence of bone marrow microenvironment in normal and leukemic stem cells as well as intercellular communication and RNA signaling within the niche. Speakers will also discuss mutations in pre-leukemic hematopoietic stem cells and AML cells (Nucleophosmin-1) and novel strategies to target Adult T cell leukemia, T-cell ALL, B cell malignancies, and Childhood Leukemia.
