Interpretable AI: a new paradigm for advancing population genomics research.

Abstract 

Oscar Gaggiotti research focuses on developing mathematical and statistical models to integrate ecology and evolutionary biology.

This project uses interpretable artificial intelligence and genomics to understand how genetic variation and environmental conditions drive adaptation. Professor Oscar Gaggiotti will study the genetic basis of colour patterns and phenotypic plasticity in the invasive Harlequin Ladybird.

The results will help reveal the mechanisms underlying species adaptation and inform sustainable strategies for managing invasive species.

During his “Visiting fellow” fellowship, Pr. Gaggiotti will collaborate with Pr. Renaud Vitalis and researchers at the Centre de Biologie pour la Gestion des Populations CBGP – INRAE

What is an MAK’IT Seminar?
